When screws, rivets, and liquid adhesives aren’t practical, double sided mounting tape gets the job done cleanly and permanently. 4Tapes carries double-sided acrylic PET tape, a transparent, high-performance mounting tape built for strong, lasting bonds on metal, glass, plastic, and more.
Not all double-sided tapes are created equal. What sets acrylic PET tape apart is the combination of a tough polyester film backing and a high-performance acrylic adhesive on both sides. That pairing delivers a bond that holds up under heat, humidity, and UV exposure, conditions that would weaken lesser tapes over time.
The PET backing gives the tape dimensional stability, meaning it won’t stretch or distort under load. The acrylic adhesive grabs quickly on contact and builds strength over time, making it a reliable choice for both temporary positioning during assembly and permanent mounting applications.
A transparent double-sided mounting tape featuring a PET film backing and acrylic adhesive. Bonds strongly to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, glass, rubber, plastic, plexiglass, and steel. Resistant to UV exposure and humidity, with high-temperature resistance for demanding environments. A clean, professional alternative to screws, brackets, and liquid adhesives for mounting and bonding applications.
This tape bonds well to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, glass, plastic, rubber, plexiglass, and steel. Its high-performance acrylic adhesive makes it effective on both smooth and slightly textured surfaces.
Yes. Double-sided acrylic PET tape is designed for strong, permanent bonding. It’s a reliable alternative to screws, rivets, and liquid adhesives in applications where a clean, hardware-free finish is important.
Acrylic adhesive offers better long-term durability, UV resistance, and heat resistance than rubber-based adhesives. It builds bond strength over time and holds up better in outdoor or high-temperature environments.
Yes. The acrylic adhesive provides good resistance to UV exposure and humidity, making it suitable for outdoor mounting applications like signage and trim.
Clean surfaces are key. Remove any dust, oil, or moisture from both surfaces before applying the tape. Apply firm, even pressure across the entire bonded area and allow time for the adhesive to fully set before putting the bond under load.
Regular double sided tape is typically designed for light-duty tasks like crafts or temporary fixes. Mounting tape uses a more aggressive adhesive and a stronger backing, designed for permanent bonding in demanding environments where the bond must last.
Packaging is not just the final step. It is where quality shows up, products stay protected, and customers form their first real impression. At 4Tapes, we focus on the materials, adhesives, and real world performance that keep operations running smoothly.
